Overview:
NOA1422H is a clear liquid adhesive that cures well under long-wave UV and/or heat; recommended for glass-to-glass bonding with good adhesion to CAB, polycarbonate and other plastics. Cures at 315–395 nm (peak 365 nm); full cure: 3 J/cm². As a coating it shows oxygen inhibition; cure in an inert environment such as nitrogen. Besides UV curing, NOA1422H contains a latent thermal catalyst for fast curing in shadowed areas: 10 min at 125°C or 3 h at 80°C in a convection oven; IR ovens speed it further. Air-exposed areas stay tacky unless UV-cured or heat-cured at 125°C; below 80°C the catalyst is inactive. Heat curing completes partially cured adhesive for best physical properties; not needed if all adhesive sees proper UV/visible light. After curing, NOA1422H is soft (Shore 20D), similar to some silicones.
