Low-index (1.4211) UV adhesive; recommended for glass-to-glass bonding; good adhesion to cellulose acetate butyrate.
NOA1442H is a clear liquid adhesive that cures at 315–395 nm (peak 365 nm); full cure: 3 J/cm². Recommended for glass-to-glass bonding with good adhesion to CAB. As a coating it shows oxygen inhibition; cure in an inert environment such as nitrogen. Besides UV curing, it contains a latent thermal catalyst for fast curing in shadowed areas: 10 min at 125°C or 3 h at 80°C in a convection oven; IR ovens speed it further. Air-exposed areas stay tacky unless UV-cured or heat-cured at 125°C; below 80°C the catalyst is inactive. Heat curing completes partially cured adhesive for best physical properties; not needed if all adhesive sees proper UV light.
