Overview:
NOA146H is a clear, colorless liquid polymer curable by UV/visible (blue-violet) light or heat. For high-quality optical bonding between plastics or plastic and glass; excellent adhesion to CR-39, polarizing film, Delrin®, nylon, CAB, polycarbonate, acrylic, and glass. Good light transmission, low shrinkage, and slight flexibility outperform other optical adhesives, ensuring high-quality components with long-term stability under changing conditions. Cures at 320–395 nm UV; peak absorption at 325/365 nm; full cure: 4.5 J/cm². Besides UV curing, NOA146H contains a latent thermal catalyst for fast curing in shadowed areas: 10 min at 125°C or 3 h at 80°C in a convection oven; IR ovens speed it further. Air-exposed areas stay tacky unless UV-cured or heat-cured at 125°C; below 80°C the catalyst is inactive. Heat curing completes partially cured adhesive for best physical properties; not needed if all adhesive sees proper UV light.
