NOA1485 Low-Index Optical Adhesive

Overview:

Low-index (1.480) UV adhesive; recommended for glass-to-glass bonding; good adhesion to cellulose acetate butyrate.

NOA1485 is a clear liquid adhesive that cures under long-wave UV light; recommended for glass-to-glass bonding with good adhesion to CAB. Cures at 315–395 nm (peak 365 nm); full cure: 5 J/cm². As a coating it shows oxygen inhibition; cure in an inert environment such as nitrogen.

Notes:

NOA1485's refractive index is close to regenerated cellulose fibers (e.g., diacetate, triacetate), suiting optical inspection of such fibers and other specialty applications.
