NOA89H

UV-Curing Optical Adhesive NOA89/89H

Product Description:

----The lowest-viscosity adhesive in the NOA UV-curing series, for glass-to-glass bonding or as a surface coating
NOA89 is a transparent, colorless liquid photopolymer that cures under UV or visible (blue-violet) light.

NOA89 is used for glass-to-glass bonding or as a surface coating.

NOA89 cures under UV light from 310 to 395 nm, with peak absorption at 365 nm. Energy for full cure is 3.5 J/cm2 of long-wave UV.

Both NOA89 and 89H can be UV-cured; NOA89 also contains a latent thermal catalyst that quickly cures shadowed areas. The catalyst allows the adhesive to cure in a convection oven at 125C for 10 minutes, or at 80C for 3 hours. Exposed-to-air surfaces remain tacky unless exposed to UV or cured at 125C . Temperatures below 80C do not activate the adhesive. Thermal cure fully cures a partially cured adhesive to achieve maximum physical properties. Thermal cure is unnecessary if all adhesive has been properly exposed to UV or visible light

Storage Conditions:

Store in the original container, protected from light, at low temperature (5-22C), shelf life 4 months. If refrigerated, allow the adhesive to return to room temperature before use. Handle this material with care; read the Safety Data Sheet first, including related product information such as for alcohol, acetone or methylene chloride. Avoid prolonged skin contact; wash affected areas thoroughly with soap and water. If adhesive splashes into eyes, flush with water for 15 minutes, and seek medical attention. Use in a well-ventilated area; otherwise, an organic-vapor respirator meeting NIOSH requirements is recommended.
